In the summer of 2020, Denver, Colorado, became a focal point for a nationwide wave of protests and civil unrest sparked by the tragic death of George Floyd and fueled by a broader call for racial justice, police reform, and equality. My photography project, "Voices of Denver," serves as a visual chronicle of this pivotal moment in history, documenting the marches, rallies, and community gatherings that swept through the city.

Over the course of several months, I immersed myself in the heart of the movement, capturing the raw emotion, determination, and solidarity of the protesters who took to the streets. This collection of photographs tells the story of Denver’s response to a national outcry, reflecting both the intensity of the protests and the quiet moments of reflection and unity among the participants. Through my lens, I sought to preserve the essence of this historic period, focusing on the diverse faces and voices that came together in the fight for justice. The images showcase not only the large-scale marches and the iconic imagery of protest but also the intimate, personal moments that defined the experience for so many.

"Unrest In Denver" is more than just a photographic record; it is a tribute to the courage and resilience of those who stood up for change. It serves as a reminder of the power of collective action and the enduring impact of these protests on the city's identity and the broader national conversation about civil rights and social justice.
